-Wedding Photography Yorkshire-I assisted a friend, Andrew Bulloch as a second photographer at a wedding he shot for some friends of his, Adam and Bryony back in September 2010. Bryony was a photographer’s dream when it came to shooting. The wedding ceremony and reception was held at the Black Swan in Helmsley, Yorkshire. There are around 960 superb images that were taken on that day and made a fantastic album, although the choosing 80 images from 900+ was very hard! It was a fantastic bright and sunny late September morning and my drive up from Manchester on Saturday morning only took me about an hour and a half, with a stop off at a services for a needed Costa. I arrived in Helmsley, Yorkshire before Andrew and managed to blag myself a prime parking slot at the Black Bull. Andrew arrived shortly after and we soon got into our stride, taking a quick look around the hotel, where the ceremony was going to be held and wedding breakfast after that. We had a look around the gardens and decided on where our key shots were going to be. The sky was clear and sun was now quite low in the sky, being the end of September, so we opted for the slightly sheltered rear garden of the hotel.
A Beautiful Wedding Day in YorkshireNorth Yorkshire is not one of my most frequent counties to shoot weddings at, but I have to say my drive up through Thirsk just reminded me what a lovely part of the country it is and I hope to be back that way real soon.
Below are some of my favourite images from the day
