Post Wedding Shoot – Malta

Written by Darren Bardsley on . Posted in Blog, Lifestyle, Wedding Photography

A few days after covering Fran and Andrew’s destination wedding in St Julian’s Bay, Malta we decided to take advantage of the beautiful surroundings and do a quick lifestyle shoot. We normally take these kind of shots in one of our pre-wedding or engagement photo sessions before the wedding. We didn’t get the opportunity on this occasion, but there was no way I was going to let a beautiful place and couple go without taking advantage of the moment.

Fashion Kicks 2012 – Proud to be a Sponsor

Written by Darren Bardsley on . Posted in Blog, Families, Lifestyle

Fashion Kicks 2012 is completely SOLD OUT! Set to be one of Manchester’s highlights in the social calendar in 2012. Until I got a call a few weeks ago from MacMillan Cancer Support, I hadn’t heard of Fashion Kicks and since that day I see it being mentioned all over twitter and for very good reason. I was asked if Bardsley Photography would help support Fashion Kicks 2012 and MacMillan Cancer Support by way of donating a prize for the silent auction during the event. So this is what we came up with! Fashion Kicks 2012 Silent Auction Prize Donation Sponsor
I’m hoping that it will raise some good money for a great cause.

Photography Studios Manchester – Now Complete!

Finally! As most of our friends, family, colleagues and clients will know, we started work on converting our large garage/gymnasium into a fantastic photographic studio just before Christmas 2010. My plans were originally to have the whole works complete and have an operational studio by the end of January 2011. My professional photographer friends up and down the country were expecting the invite to a topping out ceremony and giving the studio its first session with a few models and plenty of laughs. However as a great business mentor once said to me, “No plan survives its 1st encounter with reality” And so it goes; the finishing of the studio took a few weeks longer than planned. Five to six weeks to be honest.

Family Portrait Snowy Fun

Cheshire Lifestyle Photography - Snowy Fun It looks like the snow is about to descend upon the North West region of the UK over the next few days. It’s already hit Scotland and the North East and looks like Manchester is going to get it’s share towards the end of the week. The last batch of snow we had here at home a few weeks ago, gave a fabulous opportunity to take some great outdoor shots of Donna and the kids and when we got snowed in and Brandon and Saul could not get into school, the sledges came out and off we went for some family fun, camera in tow. I thought I’d share some of my favourite images from the mornings family portrait sledging session. I don’t think the British Olympic bobsleigh team have anything to be concerned about, but we had some great fun. Heres keeping fingers crossed for a white Christmas this year.
